The Proxi™ Light thumb is a new design that is made of the popular Neptune™ material that is breathable, hydrodynamic and quick drying. This model features a new design where a thermoplastic film has been applied to balance the elasticity of the material. The film provides support to the joints of the thumb without the need of a splint. The brace has been fitted with our new low profile micro hook which makes the design extremely low profile.
The thermoplastic piece can be used in water and also moulds to your hand just by body heat!. This means that the thumb brace will shape individually to patient after a couple of hours use. The thermoplastic supports the full thumb area well while still allowing easy use and a low profile brace.
The design doesn’t need any edging tape which makes it possible to individually adjust the shape by using a pair of scissors. The shape can be trimmed in all areas with the exception over the hook attachments.
